Building your Santa Fe Home
After your home has been designed, priced, and permitted, we begin construction. Santa Fe homes are built using many different types of materials. The homes on this page are built with traditional adobe, frame, and rastra block. The artisans and craftsmen at Woods are committed to building the highest quality custom homes in Santa Fe using the very best materials.
Because we believe in taking care of our clients, we provide these valuable services:- We determine exactly what your home will cost to build per your plans and specifications prior to construction. We will not exceed this budget. If you request a change we will provide you with costs associated with the change before proceeding with the work.
- We will schedule your job on a time line graph that determines exactly how long it will take to build your home and what will be happening every day of the job. We will finish your home on time.
- Our construction superintendent will supervise your job and only your job for the entire time it takes to build your home.
- We select only the most experienced and reliable subcontractors to be a part of the team to build your home.
- Our management team will meet with you weekly to review the week's progress and answer any questions concerning the work to be done the following week. If you are living out of town during construction we have a weekly phone conference and send progress photos via FedEx or Email.
- At the end of the job, we give you a construction booklet that includes warranties, instruction manuals, paint and stain colors, and a list of all the subcontractors that worked on your home.
- We never build a flat roof. Our roofs may look flat from the exterior but each roof is built with a sufficient slope to drain the water to the canales.
"I remain in awe of the quality and attention to detail your team brought to the process. Your ability to see inside our hearts and minds resulted in a design that is both beautiful and functional and, most importantly, felt like home the second we moved in.
