timeless homes, thoughtfully built.

For nearly fifty years, Woods Design | Builders & WDB Interiors have been designing and building exceptional custom homes in Santa Fe.

As a fully integrated design-build firm, Woods brings together architecture, construction, and interior design under one roof. This collaborative approach allows us to guide each project from the earliest concept through construction with clarity, efficiency, and attention to detail.

Every home we create is approached as a bespoke project—carefully shaped by the unique character of the land, the architecture of the region, and the lifestyle of the people who will live there. Our process begins by listening: understanding how you live, how you gather, and what you envision for your home. From the moment we first walk your property to the day you step across the threshold of your completed residence, our team works alongside you to ensure the experience is both seamless and inspiring.

What People Are Saying

“From the beginning of this process we knew we wanted Woods to remodel our home but we did our homework and interviewed other builders. We quickly realized that Woods Design Builders would confidently execute our vision. Their entire team were always easily accessible throughout the entire remodeling process. They were always prompt to get back with us when we had questions or concerns. Building a home can be a daunting process, but you can be sure that Woods will be there through the entire project.”

— Former Client

“In Woods we found a personable, competent, respected, and experienced single source for dream home fulfillment. Woods fulfilled our dreams in this home, and we continue to be amazed and pleased at the detail in construction and finish. Our life in our new dream home is well beyond expectations. Over the top, more than expected, more anal than the client, what can I say when I don’t have the vocabulary — a perfect home just became more perfect thanks to Woods’ ongoing support.”

— Former Client

“Collaborative, creative and FUN! Woods listens to the client. Their subs are the best they can find and they hold their feet to the fire. They meet their deadlines. Woods tells you — and follows through on the promise — that they will not desert you, even after the customary year-long responsibility. And the design talent is just amazing. (Woods) made our home what it is and I bless them every day. They are honest and they are pleasure to do business with. Our only regret when the house was finished was that we wouldn’t meet with them every week or more!”
